Tairex Launches Virtual Consultation Room for Agent Hospital

Beijing, China, Apr. 10, 2026 -- Wuxi Tairex Technology Co. Ltd. (“Tairex” or the “Company”) today announced the launch of the Online Virtual Consultation Room for Tairex Agent Hospital, now open to physicians and medical students. Within the Online Virtual Consultation Room, users on the Physician latform can create their personal Doctor Avatar Agent and conduct full-process simulated clinical consultations with AI Patient Agents. During consultations, the Doctor Avatar Agents collaborate with real physicians to execute clinical workflows, provide decision support, and continuously evolve across all aspects of practice. As a critical digital asset, the Doctor Avatar Agent can be seamlessly deployed across the Online Virtual Consultation Room, Online Real Consultation Room and Offline Real Consultation Room within Tairex Agent Hospital.

Founded in September 2024, Tairex is an incubated company of Institute for AI Industry Research, Tsinghua University (AIR, THU), dedicated to the development and large-scale deployment of Tairex Agent Hospital. The concept of Agent Hospital, proposed in May 2024 by Professor Liu Yang's team at Tsinghua University, represents a virtual medical world centered on AI agents and has been widely recognized by global media as the world’s first AI hospital. In June 2025, Tairex completed the development of the Offline Real Consultation Room of Tairex Agent Hospital, with dedicated applications and platforms for patients, physicians, and hospitals. Since the second half of 2025, the Offline Real Consultation Room has undergone technical validation and functional testing across multiple hospitals in Beijing and Guangxi. Centered around outpatient services, the system connects supply and demand within healthcare delivery, enabling full-cycle patient management across pre-hospital, in-hospital, and post-hospital stages. It also supports physicians in building personalized Doctor Avatar Agents and provides hospitals with easily deployable, cost-efficient, and high-quality AI-powered medical services. As an integrated online-offline system, Tairex Agent Hospital is fundamentally built upon its virtual medical world, which serves both as the core environment for AI agent evolution and as the primary entry point for user interaction. With this release, Tairex opens access to the virtual medical world for licensed physicians and medical students worldwide.

AI Patient Agents form the foundation of the Online Virtual Consultation Room. These are fully AI-generated virtual patients that closely adhere to medical principles and are capable of expressing thoughts and performing actions in ways that closely resemble real human patients. Tairex Agent Hospital features 26 clinical departments, each populated with large-scale, ultra-realistic, and widely distributed AI Patient Agents. Upon entering the virtual environment, users will select a department aligned with their field of expertise. The system will randomly present several AI Patient Agents from the selected specialty. Users on the Physician Platform can choose one AI Patient Agent to initiate a consultation, proceeding through a complete clinical workflow that includes consultation, ordering tests and examinations, making diagnoses, issuing treatment plans, and other related clinical procedures. The entire process closely mirrors real-world clinical scenarios. For example, AI Patient Agents can generate and return auto-generated lab reports and medical imaging results during the interaction. After completing a case, users on the Physician Platform can view aggregated decision distributions from other physicians for the same AI Patient Agent, enabling mutual learning. Importantly, users can practice without concern for causing harm or reputational risk, even when making imperfect decisions. This environment supports skill development for medical students and early-career physicians, while enabling experienced physicians to establish exemplary cases and create their personal avatar agents.

The Online Virtual Consultation Room adopts a unified design consistent with both Online Real Consultation Room and Offline Real Consultation Room, ensuring seamless transitions across different modes. Users on the Physician Platform can access advanced AI-powered clinical capabilities within the Online Virtual Consultation Room, including:

• Text & Image Dialogue: Users interact with AI Patient Agents via text (or speech-to-text). AI Patient Agents can upload lab reports and imaging results during the conversation.
• Real-Time Automated Medical Documentation: During interactions with AI Patient Agents, the system automatically generates and updates the patient’s medical record in real time based on the conversation. The record includes the chief complaint, history of present illness, past medical history, family medical history, allergy history, lab test and imaging results, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
• Real-Time Deep Reasoning & Decision Support: During interactions with AI Patient Agents, the system performs real-time deep reasoning based on the conversation. As the consultation progresses, it continuously updates decision recommendations regarding lab tests, examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans, assisting users in making timely and accurate decisions.
• Real-Time Evidence Retrieval, Validation, and Generation: Before providing decision recommendations, the system searches for relevant clues in authoritative medical knowledge bases, clinical guideline repositories, and high-confidence data sources in real time. After validating information from multiple sources, it generates evidence to support the recommendations and provides the corresponding references, helping users make more accurate and effective clinical decisions.
• Multilingual Support & Real-Time Translation: The system currently supports Chinese and English, with automatic translation between the two. After entering the system, users can interact with multilingual AI Patient Agents without language barriers, enabling seamless cross-language clinical consultations.

The Doctor Avatar Agent is the core feature of the Offline Real Consultation Room and will undergo accelerated evolution within the Online Virtual Consultation Room. Tairex Agent Hospital first enables high-throughput evolution of AI Doctor Agents in the virtual environment by simulating large volumes of clinical encounters within a short time. When building a physician's avatar agent, the system initializes it using an AI Doctor Agent whose specialty most closely matches that of the physician. In Offline Real Consultation Room, the Doctor Avatar Agent collaborates with the physician, continuously improving through alignment between its recommendations and the physician's final decisions—without requiring additional effort from the physician. Since the speed of this co-evolution is directly tied to the volume and distribution of patient cases, the Online Virtual Consultation Room significantly accelerates the growth of Doctor Avatar Agents by providing large-scale, highly realistic, and widely distributed AI Patient Agents. Doctor Avatar Agents trained in the Online Virtual Consultation Room can be directly deployed in both Online Real Consultation Room and Offline Real Consultation Room. The system also incorporates a structured skill and leveling system, and higher-level avatars will gain enhanced privileges and priority access to future features.

The Online Virtual Consultation Room of Tairex Agent Hospital is now open to physicians and medical students worldwide, with plans to support additional languages beyond Chinese and English in the future. Interested users can apply for beta access through Tairex's official channels, including the official website, the WeChat official account, and other social media platforms. Once access is granted, users can activate their accounts and begin using the Online Virtual Consultation Room immediately. Users who have used the Online Virtual Consultation Room can apply for access to the Online Real Consultation Room in the future (temporarily limited to licensed physicians in China).

In addition to securing test access in bulk, partners can benefit from customized training environments, specialized AI patients Agents, and other tailored features.
